DraftKings Inc. and del Lago Resort & Casino announced today the opening of the DraftKings Sportsbook at del Lago, the company’s third retail sportsbook location in the U.S. The 6,000 square-foot space will offer sports fans a state of the art and innovative, high-tech retail sports betting experience complete with betting kiosks and LED video screens.

The new DraftKings Sportsbook at del Lago, located on the casino floor near the entrance to The Vine Showroom, features state-of-the-art technology that will enhance the overall betting experience. Sporting events will be shown live, across more than 1,000 square feet of LED video screens, including 16 single bay TV sets, odds boards and a scrolling ticker that will show live score updates, stats, injury news and additional player information. Furthermore, the space will include a full-service bar and restaurant with menu options that feature appetizers ranging from chicken tenders and wings to flat bread pizzas and a number of main dishes like burgers, pulled pork sliders, salads and more. Del Lago Resort and Casino is a casino hotel in Tyre, New York, owned by Peninsula Pacific Entertainment. [1] It opened in 2017 at a cost of $440 million.
Facilities[edit]
The casino features 1,960 slot machines, 66 table games, and 14 poker tables.[2]
The property has nine restaurants and bars, a spa, and several retail outlets.
The resort's entertainment venue, The Vine, has 2,400 seats, and hosts various concerts throughout the year, as well as a weekly comedy night.[3]

In 2011, New York State governor Andrew Cuomo announced his administration's intent to license casinos in upstate New York to compete with Native American tribal casinos. However, this was contingent upon legislation that needed to pass.[4] Cuomo came to an agreement with the legislature in 2013 to allow the casinos to operate, and then sought to locate three sites for the upstate casinos.[5]
The casino's location was subject to a battery of lawsuits from 2015 to the time of its construction. There were concerns over competing interests with the Finger Lakes casinos, racinos, and the casinos operated by the Oneida Indian Nation.[6]
The casino opened on February 1, 2017.[7]
